Born in Dominican Republic.

Upon concluding the undergraduate degree in Advertising Communications at the Universidad Iberoamericana in Santo Domingo (Summa Cum Laude), she continued her studies in Milan, where she completed the Master di Moda and Master di Still Life specialization courses at the John Kaverdash School. At the same time, in Italy, she freelanced as an assistant to several commercial photographers.

 

In 2009 she shifted into photojournalism and won the Helge Hummelvoll Scholarship to participate in the 61st Missouri Photo Workshop. In 2009 and 2010 she also attended several other photojournalism workshops taught by photographers from Reuters, AP, and Getty Reportage. She was selected as the artist to represent the Dominican Republic in the exchange project Lugares de Transito, which will open in Madrid in Spring 2012.

 

She was recently awarded a Fulbright scholarship and is currently completing her Master's degree in Photojournalism at the University of Missouri.
